I was one of the 25 million viewers who tuned into Star Search every week to see Sam Harris perform.

Star Search, the American Idol of the 80's and 90's,  was a talent show that discovered such famous names as Sawyer Brown, Dennis Miller and Rosie O'Donell.

Sam Harris won over audiences week after week as he created his own pop, gospel and theatical brand of emotionally charged performances.

His signature wardrobe included a long tailcoat and high top converse sneakers. So very unforgettable. Not to mention he was so incredibly handsome.





Young girls and their Mothers loved this talented young man. He was an amazing talent and a force to be reckoned with in the 80's with videos like this one. What a blast from the past!

 


If you  lost touch with Sam's career,  he has had an illustrious career on Broadway, as an actor, and with his music career.


Most recently he has completed a new album with a great new song written by Sam for Barack Obama's campaign. The album is called "FREE" and you can preorder it here.

We need this song at the Democratic convention! This is a movement and we can't stop now cause "Change is on the way!"
