Christopher Walken announced on August 9th, 2008 that he is running for President according to this website http://www.walken2008.com/ purchased this year. Walken's previous presidential campaign site was http://www.walkenforpres.com/ which was set up in 2005, and is no longer in use.

Now according to Snopes ( a site that debunks internet hoaxes) this is once again a silly prank created for fun possibly to capitalize on the movie Wedding Crashers back in 2005 where Walken played a Presidential hopeful.

Funny thing is, it's getting buzz now on blogging news sites now like World Net Daily.

But even stranger is that Cafepress is currently running GoogleAds for Walken for President t-shirts, buttons and other political merchandise now. Is Walken that hot for President?

So while we know this to be a silly hoax, you can go out and rent Wedding Crashers and grab a Walken for President T-shirt to show support with one of these cool designs!
