UPDATE: Joe the Plumber For President! (Video & T-shirts)

Meet Joe the Plumber. The man spoken about 11 times at the beginning of the debate, nine times by McCain and twice by Obama.

Joe the Plumber is so popular right now, it's almost like he was running for President himself.

John McCain attacked Obama for saying the Illinois senator is just trying to “spread the wealth around.”

“We're going to take Joe's money, give it to Senator Obama, and let him spread the wealth around. I want Joe the plumber to spread the wealth around,” McCain said. He added, “Why would you want to increase anybody's taxes right now? Why would you want to do that to anyone, anyone in America, when we have such a tough time?”

The problem here is, any Presidential candidate that says he is not going to raise taxes is lying. The national debt is staggering yet Republicans keep preaching no new taxes. It's simply not true. And Joe the Plumber doesn't get that fact.

If both candidates were truly being honest they would say we have to raise taxes, we have to cut spending, and we have to do it now.

The Plumbers Union supports Barack Obama, by the way, so it looks like Joe didn't get the memo

And by the way, for anyone interested, since Joe's not going to buy that business in Ohio that makes $250,000, if anyone is interested, I hear it's available!

But in the meantime, in case the White House does not need a plumber, Joe the Plumber for President t-shirts, sweatshirts, buttons, stickers are being mass produced by crazy out-of control artists on both sides of the election and can be found here for all those interested.

UPDATE:

Well it turns out according to the NY Times that Joe is not actually a licensed plumber, nor has he ever applied to even be an apprentice in his hometown.

Not to mention he is a bit negligent on his taxes. It appears that he has a few personal tax liens that are still unpaid.

Not sure how Joe the Plumber plans to buy a business for $250,000 that he is not only not licensed to run, and most likely unable to afford, no matter whether Barack Obama or John MCain gets elected to office.

Seems like Joe the Plumber may have a few leaks in his pipes.... that he is not licensed to repair.

Don't forget to check out these great bumper stickers, t-shirts and buttons for Joe the Plumber!
