Julian Velard: Singer, Songwriter and Sensational
Imagine a combination of a modern day Billy Joel style and the sexy, reckless allure of James Dean and you will discover what I have found in the talented singer and songwriter Julian Velard.

Julian is a brilliant storyteller with his songs, think Elton John, Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson with a little Quentin Tarantino thrown in.
His website, www.julianvelard.com is one of the best interactive sites I have ever enjoyed. When you arrive at the site, you are greeted with a montage of three songs that play in a continuous loop from his upcoming album. Be sure to hit the exploration button at the bottom for a cool inside look at the background and to interact.
The first song Jimmy Dean and Steve McQueen will draw you in to his classic Frank Sinatra style and make you fall in love with his indisputable and oh so sexy, bad boy image.
The second Love For The First Time is my personal favorite, partly because in my search for more Julian Velard, by the time I found this one, I was already head over heels for him. The romantic song explores the journey for that lasting love that sometimes only seems obtainable in the movies. And is definitely found in this song destined to be a fan favorite.
Julian was born to, as he puts it, "two massively insane individuals." His mother a former Jeopardy Champion who loves to "knit and smoke" and his father, a Frenchman with a PHD in mathematics, a geek background in computers and who loves to "scream and yell."
He has worked odd jobs during his quest for a recording career including a movie rental store (where he rented two movies a night instead of doing his homework) and working on the sanitation crew in Paris, France.
This 29 year old sensation will be performing on New Year's Eve in New York City at the Rockwood Music Hall and you can get your tickets in the pre-sale by going to his official fan site and registering now.
You can follow Julian Velard on Twitter and you must not miss his YouTube account and a must see mash up of his Katy Perry Hot and Cold cover (which Julian himself saw and was blown away by) is located here, featuring an unsigned artist names Laberino from Italy ( who I am sure I will be writing about in the near future).
